Course Description & Pricing

The Tele-ChildLife© Virtual Assessment course includes a detailed presentation by Kia Ferrer, MS, CCLS, GC-C, who has herself done extensive research on institutional and systemic bias and assessment. Her presentation is accompanied by additional resources. The course details the development of objective assessment tools for children exhibiting anxieties and fears about adverse events. Participants will learn how visual representations and 2-dimensional images can shift CCLS observational skills and expose bias, and we will also explore observational criteria for recognizing abuse and neglect through the screen. There will be a brief quiz provided for those who wish to earn 1 PDU in the Performance Domain of Assessment.
